Scholarships and Financial Aids

1. Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for College and University Students

This scholarship, provided by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is open to meritorious students from low-income families pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses. For undergraduate students, the scholarship offers ₹1,000 per month (up to ₹10,000 per academic year). Eligibility criteria include pursuing a regular course at the undergraduate level in a recognized institution and not availing of any other scholarships or financial assistance.

2. E-Grantz Scholarship

The Government of Kerala offers the E-Grantz scholarship to support students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). Eligibility criteria include having a domicile in Kerala, belonging to SC, ST, or OBC categories, and meeting specific income thresholds. The scholarship provides financial assistance ranging from ₹100 to ₹1,500 per student, depending on the course and category.

3. Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST Students

Offered by the Department of Social Justice, Government of Kerala, this scholarship supports SC and ST students studying in post-matriculation courses, including B.Ed programs. The scholarship covers tuition fees, books, and living expenses, with amounts varying based on the course and accommodation status.

4. Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses

This scholarship is available for students belonging to minority communities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis) pursuing professional and technical courses. It aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker sections of minority communities.

Most of these scholarships require students to apply through their respective official portals. For instance, the E-Grantz scholarship applications can be submitted through the E-Grantz 3.0 portal. Students are advised to check the specific eligibility criteria, required documents, and application deadlines for each scholarship to ensure successful application.
